6 Reasons Why Plants Love Cinnamon

You might not think that cinnamon can do much to help your garden, but it’s actually really beneficial for both indoor and outdoor plants.

Just six uses of this spice will keep any plant looking healthy!

Here are some clever tricks you should try out:

1. Seedlings

The antifungal properties in cinnamon make it a great tool for protecting seedlings from rot and disease, also known as damping off.

Keeping moisture at bay is key; dusting the seeds with cinnamon and using a doming tactic can protect the seeds until they grow.

2. Deter Ants

Cinnamon might be the answer to your ant problem. The powdery substance will suffocate pesky bugs when inhaled, and it can also make food sources smell bad enough for them not want get near them! Plus kids and pets are safe too so this win-win situation is perfect.
