Non-Alcoholic Christmas Sangria: A Festive and Refreshing Holiday Drink

Introduction:

Christmas is a time of joy, celebration, and togetherness. What better way to enhance the festivities than with a refreshing, vibrant drink that can be enjoyed by everyone, regardless of age or preference? Non-Alcoholic Christmas Sangria is the perfect festive beverage, bursting with the flavors of the season—citrusy, fruity, and full of color. This delightful mocktail is ideal for holiday gatherings, family dinners, or simply relaxing by the fire. You can serve it chilled or over ice, making it a versatile option for any celebration.

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups of unsweetened grape juice (red or white)
  • 1 cup of freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 1 apple, sliced thinly
  • 1 orange, sliced into rounds
  • 1 lemon, sliced into rounds
  • 1/2 cup of cranberries (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 3-4 star anise
  • 1 tbsp of honey or maple syrup (optional, for sweetness)
  • 2 cups of sparkling water or lemon-lime soda
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Directions:

  1. Combine the Juices: In a large pitcher or punch bowl, combine the grape juice and orange juice. Stir well to combine.
  2. Add the Fruits and Spices: Add the sliced apple, orange, and lemon, along with the cranberries, cinnamon stick, and star anise.
  3. Sweeten to Taste: If you prefer a sweeter drink, add a tablespoon of honey or maple syrup and stir until dissolved.
  4. Chill the Sangria: Let the sangria chill in the fridge for at least 2 hours, allowing the fruits and spices to infuse the juices.
  5. Add Fizz: Just before serving, add the sparkling water or lemon-lime soda for a fizzy touch.
  6. Serve: Stir gently and pour into glasses filled with ice. Garnish each glass with a sprig of fresh mint and extra slices of fruit if desired.
