2. Prepare Your Pot

Use a Pot with a Lid: Choose a pot that can accommodate the number of eggs you want to boil without overcrowding. A lid is essential for controlling heat and steam.

3. Add the Eggs

Start Cold: Place your eggs in the pot and cover them with cold water. Ensure that there is at least an inch of water above the eggs to allow for even cooking.

4. Bring to a Boil

Heat Gradually: Place the pot on the stove over medium-high heat. Once the water reaches a rolling boil, you can reduce the heat slightly to maintain a gentle boil.

5. Timing is Key

6. Ice Bath

7. Peel with Ease

Crack and Roll: After the eggs have cooled, gently tap them on a hard surface to crack the shell, then roll them to loosen the shell further. Start peeling from the wider end where there is often an air pocket. This makes it easier to slide your fingers or a spoon under the shell.

8. Rinse and Serve
