Why Banana Peel Works for Teeth Whitening
Banana peels are rich in minerals, including potassium, magnesium, and manganese, which are known to help remove surface stains on teeth and make them whiter. The peel also has natural abrasives that help in gently scrubbing away plaque and tartar without damaging your enamel.
How to Use Banana Peel to Whiten Teeth and Remove Tartar:
1. Choose a Ripe Banana
Pick a ripe banana with a yellow peel (it doesn’t have to be overly ripe, but the peel should be soft enough to easily rub on your teeth).
2. Peel the Banana
Peel the banana and set the fruit aside (you can eat it or use it in a smoothie!).
3. Rub the Inside of the Peel on Your Teeth
Take the inside of the banana peel (the soft, fibrous side) and rub it gently on your teeth. Focus on areas where tartar or stains are more noticeable, like near the gum line or the back of your teeth.
4. Brush for 2 Minutes
Continue rubbing the banana peel on your teeth for about 2 minutes. The minerals in the peel will penetrate the surface of your teeth, helping to break down plaque and whiten them.
5. Rinse Your Mouth
After 2 minutes, rinse your mouth thoroughly with water to remove any banana peel residue.
